FULL OF TURKEY, EMPTY OF CHILDREN

I will never like the hugs goodbye. I will always like the big smiles, the jumping up and down, hugs hello.
My daughter and three nephews pulled out of the night driveway. Good news is I did not have to take them to LAX because my brother had to fly home as well.
It was a family celebration from Wednesday until this morning, filled with my daughter

I have had those same feelings and it was helpful to see it written. Thanks, Allison

Natalie, what clear images you brought to life. I could SEE the spilled wine, the red roses, the wet towels, the air beds, etc.
My son was home for 4 heavenly days and it was great. He left last night and I feel fine today. HE had a hard time saying good-bye, hugged me so tight and kissed me on my forehead. As he pulled away, he yelled “Thanks for everything Mom! And I mean everything you’ve done ALL my life”. Sweet guy.
So funny, I cleaned and fussed over his room for days. New lamps, shades, etc. and you should see the pig pen it is today! Oh well, I don’t know if I’ll fuss this much next time … probably!
    Thanks for sharing.
    Mary
