    It is interesting that you wrote about this subject today.
    Last week I started a new job. I work with teachers and children during the hours when I was missing my “kids” the most. I am relaxed, focused on the moment, and able to give 100% of my attention to the task at hand.
    When my “kids” lived at home they were always my main focus. I felt rushed and in a hurry most of the time. I was a “stay at home Mom” and if I did try to work a part-time job I never gave it a fair chance. They all seemed meaningless.
    As an “empty nester” I am a better employee. I feel very blessed because I am working with people who value children, family and education. I appreciate having a job. It is “meaningful” and filling part of the void.
