I believe this year is going to be full of opportunities to: believe you can, to risk, to say I am sorry and I need you to

I am an empty nester whose daughter is a freshman in college. I am hoping this year, I will find something new beyond Monday night football. I am thinking about a hot dog stand since my dad was in the food biz. I also want to take volunteer as a big dad. Thanks for the site and happy new year.

I am an empty nester and my kids are in college. My best friend doesn’t understand . She thinks I am free now. She doesn’t have kids. She worries about traveling alone and not having a partner for dinner, or a stroll at night in Italy. I guess we all have differences. I would just go and meet a new friend. Thanks..Ally

Thanks empty nester. I fear aging! I don’t mind wrinkles . I do mind being slower or what if I couldn’t drive? I think aging is more than in the head . I feel it in my body. I stretch. I hike. I get tired. I eat well, but I just won’t like being dependent or not having fun. Thanks Barb

I want to talk about making new relationships that want to have fun. People seem set in their routines. I just want something new to do. I too decide day by day and long term I am starting my own childcare corporation. Thanks for the thoughts and this web. Megan

Empty nester here. I like the free flow of thoughts you submitted. I am going to journal like that today for my new year’s ideas. Mostly I need help to just let go. Thank you.Brenda
