Robin Eubanks, Etta James and more. Green blankets on the lawn, blue tents on the side paths, kids and adults

It’s not that I don’t have a vast array of things to do. How long does it take to get that old excitement about them back?

My daughter is leaving…my son left several years ago and then came home because of an injury. When my son left it was very difficult, but now that my daughter is leaving I am having a really hard time. When my son left I had children still at home and my husband was there. Now I am alone and have been for the last four years. She has been my life, my confidant, my best friend. I am feeling so emotionally distraught. I want her to have her own life and I am so happy that she is going to go and do something that is exciting for her. I have moved to a new city, started a new job, and those things are going great…I have even started going to a group where there are people going through this same thing. I feel so disconnected…my interests for the last 22 years have been the things my children were involved in..I suddently feel like I don’t have a life anymore. Suggestions?
